Blooming through love and joy: It's our 4th birthday!
The past four years has been a wild ride of fun, joy, and growth. From siblings who wanted to share their passion for skincare, we have slowly bloomed into a happy community—and we owe it all to your support.
Peaches&Crème, at our very core, is about people and shared experiences—enjoying life, spreading happiness, and doing what we love. We started with a pair of siblings but now, like our community, the people behind our small business have also grown (in number, experience, and all that good stuff). So for our fourth birthday, a few members of the Peach Fam are taking the reins to share their personal skincare stories and absolute K-beauty faves.
Loving yourself is always a worthwhile journey
All the members of our Peach family enjoy skincare now, but it wasn't always that way. Growing up, we each had to slowly learn how to love our skin, flaws and all.
And here we are today: a team so passionate about skincare we weave it into our everyday lives—both personal and professional. We really enjoy talking about skincare (honestly, we even chat about what products we love in the work thread) so, as promised, the Peach Fam are taking over this story to tell you their experiences.
Crème (Co-Founder, CEO, All-Around #Girlboss)
My love story with Korean skincare was a slow burn; it took a lot of convincing from my sibling because of my past experiences. Acne was a big problem for me when I was 13, so I was brought to a dermatologist where my skin was subjected to harsh treatments. I was also given expensive skincare products that, unfortunately, did not work for me.
Fast forward years later, I moved to Europe and was introduced to new skincare products that were quite known at the time. Like before, they were pricey but did nothing for me. My skin felt and looked like cardboard—but greasy—and I had to cake on a lot of make up to mattify my face.
Whenever I met or called my sibling, I would see their mochi-like skin and I would feel a twinge of envy. Finally, I said yes to their efforts to get me into Korean skincare—and wow, I didn't know how much that choice would change my life.
Crème's Faves
I used to think that my skin type was oily throughout the year but, after balancing my skin and improving its health through K-beauty, I realised that I have combination-oily skin (which turns oily in summer).
My K-beauty faves include:
Ma:nyo Pure Cleansing Oil DEEP CLEAN Double cleansing is very important! Ma:nyo has been my number 1 favourite ever since it came to our store. THE BEST cleansing oil, hands down! Doing a proper cleanse has always been key to keeping blackheads at bay, and this is why I never had to use so many BHA products specifically for them. |
|
SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule I use this or SKIN1004's Tea-Trica Ampoule to soothe my skin after I use the VT Reedle Shot 100. My skin's superhero and all-time favourite! |
|
House of Hur Weightless Sun Fluid SPF50+ PA++++ The best chemical sunscreen I’ve tried and now currently my favourite. With my skin type, it was always challenging to find a sunscreen that will not be greasy and, most importantly, will not break me out. I also have brown skin so while using a mineral sunscreen is good for my skin type, I don't really like its tone-up effect. The House of Hur sunscreen has a matte finish, does not leave my skin greasy at all, and does not break me out. |
Skincare is a reflection of my relationship with my skin and, ultimately, myself. I don’t consider it a chore or task but a gesture of loving myself, setting aside some time to fully enjoy those few minutes of relaxation. Skincare brings me joy and, because K-beauty made my skin as healthy as it is now, I can fully enjoy trying and exploring new products without worry.

If you want healthy skin, invest time in learning about your skin and what it needs. Read and research about what products can be best for you since you know your skin best. Also, remember that trying out skincare products will be the ultimate test on whether it will work for you or not.
Double Cleanse – Hydrate – Moisturise – and use sunscreen always! If you have the basics down, you will be fine. Just investing in serums for brightening and acne will be wasted if you don’t double cleanse and use sunscreen—so master the basics first.
Lastly, be happy and enjoy your skincare routine. It does not need to be a chore or task. 😊

I didn't really have great skin growing up, but in my early 20s I developed bad, bad fungal acne. Regular skincare wasn't working so I had to try something new. During that time, K-beauty was still in its early stages, and the first "K-beauty signature ingredient" was snail mucin. After trying it, I never really stopped, and now my skin is the lowest-maintenance it has ever been.
Skincare, to me, is a sign of self-care. I discovered that I was never really good at taking care of myself (in all the ways, thanks to therapy), so now skincare is a concrete signal. If I’m not doing skincare regularly or my skin is doing poorly—usually during very stressful periods of life—it reminds me that I’m slipping, so I need to pay more attention to taking care and being kind to myself.

My skin needs a lot of help when I'm stressed and it tends to be rougher and dehydrated. In times of trouble (and in general), these are my ultimate picks for Korean skincare:
Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream This is the most effective calming product I’ve ever used, and it’s super reliable! Klairs is one of the first brands I really got attached to (years ago), and this blue cream intrigued me. It stayed in my life ever since. Sensitive-skin girlies will love this cream since it's nourishing, has no scent, and plays very well with others. If you have acne-prone skin, it is CALMING (seriously) and it doesn't clog the pores at all, like some other robust creams. |
|
Beauty of Joseon Revive Serum: Ginseng + Snail Mucin This is probably the most reliable serum I’ve used. It helped me recover from a really bad place skin-wise, and now my skin is healthier and I don’t get much problems. I don’t use it that often now, only when I need an SOS, and it delivers every time. This serum is the first Beauty of Joseon product I've used. Snail has always been great for me, so this is the one I tried. I think anyone who’s getting any trouble with flareups, flaking, dehydration, or dullness could benefit from the Revive Serum. |

I’m From Mugwort Cream This cream made me love mugwort, among all the herbs in K-beauty ingredients. It is very gentle and light, and I love the grassy smell. I use this mugwort cream regularly, day and night, and it helps my skin feel healthy (with less troubled days). It plays well with other products, and feels like it helps my skin accept other skincare better. This cream is best as maintenance for combination skin types. |

We began this journey because of a simple wish: to share what we loved with others. To share the delight of seeing yourself change for the better knowing you had a hand in it. I’m very happy to see the community growing, which means more people are loving the skincare journey, being closer to their skin and themselves, being more involved with the process of caring for themselves. Whether it’s listening to your skin, listening to how you feel, thinking about how to help yourself, those are great things to learn about navigating ALL of your needs, beyond skincare, whatever they may be. And of course, the best part: Enjoying while discovering and learning, having fun with it, which means it’s not a scary thing. That was why I became attached to Korean skincare in the first place—it’s not medicine. Needing and using skincare doesn’t have to mean that your skin is sick, and that you should be afraid and anxious, that you should be frantic about finding a cure. I used to think that, but not anymore. Getting into K-beauty changed my outlook and I’m glad to see that shift in more and more people, too.
I do feel some pride about having had a hand in starting that shift, but once you guys were on board, it was all you. I know you’re happy, because you’re sharing it. You want other people to be happy, too. And that was the whole point of starting all of this! This community is our success, and I’m so proud to be part of it. The love will only grow from here. And that’s a wonderful thought that tells me it’s worth it, and will continue to be worth it.
Writer J (It's me, hi, I'm the blogger, it's me)
I was one of those teens who had an unhealthy relationship with self-image. I was always chasing the Perfect Skin™️ I saw on TV and magazines but I had bad acne and super oily skin. Skincare was an added stressor to me because I didn’t have the resources to buy the products I wanted and—when I did—it was ineffective. We didn’t have innovative, skin-loving skincare that was accessible back then, and it all snowballed into a cycle of insecurity and frustration.
These days, skincare is a lowkey, low-pressure part of my self-care routine. I’ve accepted that perfect skin is impossible and that I should focus on keeping my skin healthy and hydrated. Doing my skincare is no longer a symptom of my self-image issues, but a treat and proof that I took care of myself that day.

I have combination, acne-prone skin which feels like balancing different skin types at times. My skincare routine is simple, however, as my health keeps me low-energy throughout the day.
All this led to me favouring calming ingredients and acne care products (thank you, Korean skincare). I've tried a lot but right now, these own my heart:
SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Tea-Trica Relief Ampoule This is the calming ampoule for me, especially when my skin is going through a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. I discovered it just early this year but it easily propelled itself to my top faves after it helped me keep my breakouts less frequent and painful. This also made me realise that my skin actually loves tea tree in skincare products. If you have acne problems, I definitely recommend this ampoule. |
|
Jumiso Snail Mucin 95% + Peptide Essence To heal and hydrate, I always reach for this essence. This was recommended to me by Crème a few months back and, after my skin got used to it, the glow. was. ON. I love how it hydrates my skin and helps calm my acne. To my friends with dehydrated skin, this one's a must-try. |
|
Axis-Y Spot the Difference Blemish Treatment This is a fairly new addition to my bias list but it's quite the heavy-lifter. My acne doesn't really stand a chance once I pair this with the SKIN1004 Tea-Trica Ampoule. Spot treatment is important when you have acne-prone skin so, if you're looking for a good one, give this tiny little thing a chance. |

If there's one thing I learned through our community, it's that every individual's skincare journey is unique; you don't have to compare yourself with others. Take your time, listen to your needs, and be kind to yourself. This is a lesson on skincare, but I believe that we would be a lot happier if we applied this to our everyday lives as well.
Thank you for helping me learn this, and for choosing to share the joy you felt while trying K-beauty with others. Life is truly better when we choose to partake in and pass around experiences that fill our heart.
Manager Y (Community Manager, Multi-Tasker of the Century)
I got into a really basic skincare routine when the Korean 10-step routine became trendy. Back then, however, I only got the most basic items like cleansers and moisturisers because I couldn’t afford anything else. When I could afford it, I started using sunscreens daily because I didn’t want premature wrinkles. 👀
Skincare is part of my me-time before my day starts, and part of my self-care to end my night. It connects me with my body and gives me a healthier relationship with my appearance. I had a bad self-image before, and seeing my skin transform through my skincare routine changed how I viewed myself. Skincare also keeps me aware of how my skin ages and matures, and promotes healthy habits.
Manager Y's Faves
I have dehydrated, sensitive, eczema-prone skin. I have my morning and evening skincare routines locked down, but I adjust when I travel or whenever my skin needs more attention. Right now, my top 3 K-beauty products are:
SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50+ PA++++ The GOAT. Lightweight sunscreen, no whitecast, moisturizing, and goes well under makeup. It doesn’t dry powdery (very good for my dehydrated skin), doesn’t sting my eyes, and doesn’t have a strong scent—all these at an affordable price! This sunscreen would be good for people with sensitive and flaky, dehydrated skin. This goes on smoothly and doesn’t turn makeup cakey. Gives a subtle dewy glow. |
|
COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence Gives me lightweight hydration! 😍 I’m halfway through my first bottle and I noticed how it absorbs really quickly into the skin; it doesn’t sit on the surface of your face for long. It also hydrates from the inside without sensitizing your skin. I think people with dehydrated or sensitive skin would like this. |
|
Some By Mi Clear Spot Patch I am floored by how fast it works, and it’s invisible! A friend couldn’t tell I had one on my face until I pointed it out. I have medium-tone skin and the patch still becomes invisible on my face. I put one on as soon as I see a pimple erupting and it stops it from fully forming. Protects irritated pimples from makeup as well! I went through one pack when I had a bad breakout. I keep another in stock just in case I need it. |
